Capital Connector Public Meeting

The City of Charleston, in partnership with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways (WVDOH) is seeking input on their project to enhance the Kanawha Boulevard Walk and Bikeway (US) Route 60 (Kanawha
Boulevard and Greenbrier Street) Charleston. Below, please find a summary of the project as well as instructions for commenting and how
to find more information.

The project will work to enhance the Charleston waterfront and provide recreational and alternative commuter trails along the Kanawha Boulevard Walk and Bikeway. The Project includes a reduction of four to five 12-foot lanes to allow for the expansion of the existing 4′-6′ pedestrian pathway. The Project also includes intersection signal modifications for
pedestrian and bicycle safety, stormwater management, as well as lighting and utility upgrades.
